Here at Pop-Ins Schoolhouse we understand the importance of a Child's earliest experience. Our brand new nursery has been designed with your baby's safety and comfort in mind.
Being nurtured is the key to all aspects of development and behavior, creating a safe and loving environment for both infants and parents promotes wellbeing for the family.
Our staff members are trained in early child development and education, and spend a lot of time making sure to engage the infants in talking and singing as these are some of the ways to stimulate the brain.
Eye contact, touching, stroking and holding a baby is especially important, promoting emotional, social, and physical health.
In the early stages of language development, the brain is programmed to attend to speech sounds and begin to mimic them. Early on babies like to make sounds up on their own.
As they attempt to repeat sounds/words that they are exposed to from their environment, we encourage responding to sounds they make with positive reinforcement.
We strongly believe in honoring the fact that each infant is different and individual in reaching their milestones, which we think they will do when they are good and ready, with no added pressure from us adults.
We of course will encourage and cajole them to reach their fullest potential.
Tummy time, pulling up, standing, crawling and climbing are all closely supervised and encouraged.
We know how hard it is to be away from your new baby, so we make every effort to document their activities as best we can, and hand you a progress report daily.
At this stage, your now toddler is in full exploration mode! Our qualified teachers will help them start to make sense of the world around them and develop their ideas.
As powerful little persons with individual needs, toddlers' temperaments, learning styles and life experiences make them unique. We acknowledge their ability to make choices and encourage them to do so within safe parameters.
We take care to foster close connections between teachers, parents, and friends. These bonds enable children to view their school as a place where they feel comfortable and are nurtured.
Our goal is to have every one of the children excited to come and spend the day with us.
As soon as your infant is mobile and on their feet, they will move into the ONE room.
In our carefully planned classroom environment, activities are built based on teacher's observations of your toddler, and how they explore new materials in their environment.
They will be encouraged to climb, have various age appropriate sensory experiences such as water, sand, paint, clay, and explore our outside playground designed especially for toddlers.
As with every stage of your child's development, age appropriate books and reading is a daily fixture in our schedule.
Your child's activities and milestones will be documented and handed to you daily, so you are sure not to miss a thing!
