Two’s
These busy 2 year olds are testing their independence! Independence is supported and encouraged by teachers as your toddlers move through their daily routines, washing hands, dressing for outdoor play, learning to use the toilet, cleaning up after meals, and making many choices throughout the day.
Curious to discover and learn new things, their environment is set up to do just that with different learning "stations" for them to explore.
EXPRESSIVE AREA
Using materials such as paint and clay, your child will use their visual sense to communicate their feelings, and discover how they can manipulate natural materials to express themselves.
LITERACY
We cannot overemphasize the importance of books as a medium of broadening your child's imagination through the wonder of storytelling.
LARGE MOTOR SKILLS
This station will enable your toddler to safely jump, run, crawl, climb and roll around.
MUSIC AND MOVEMENT
Your Toddler will explore how their bodies move, and how they are able to express themselves through music.
DRAMATIC PLAY
This will help your toddler make sense out of their world by exploring different roles. They use this area to test their theories and better understand social situations. Children also use this area to work through their own emotions.
BLOCK PLAY
Your Toddler will explore weight, balance, shape and numbers as well as many other properties through building.
OUTDOOR PLAY
Your toddler will continue to explore this area designed especially for them all year round which will also allow them to explore the 4 seasons.
This all balanced with developing social skills. Your toddler will learn how to engage with their peers, develop their communication skills and learn manners - toddlers have a natural curiosity of people, and are encouraged to share their ideas and concerns.
