Fours and Pre-K
4 – 6 Years
- At this stage, your 4-year-old is ready for more complex social, learning, and play experiences.
- Our curriculum often unfolds through long-term, investigative projects. Topics are explored through activities such as:
- Block building
- Sorting and matching
- Sand and water play
- Simple games
- Everything we do in Pre-K is designed to help prepare your child—confidently and joyfully—for kindergarten.
- Their days are full of language, activity, and movement. Storytime includes drama and action, and children are encouraged to notice, question, participate, and truly engage in their own learning experiences.
- In our Pre-K classroom, children begin to explore who they are—how they’re similar to their friends and what makes them unique. They also learn about their wider community with visits to places like the local fire station, public library, and post office.
- Your 4-year-old is full of energy, imagination, and curiosity. As they learn to notice details and anticipate outcomes, we guide them with:
- Goal-setting activities
- Collaborative group work
- Practice with responsibility and impulse control
- Four-year-olds are highly social, eager to try new things, and love to share what they know. We often channel that energy into special projects like simple plays or musical performances for parents and caregivers.
T-K
(Transitional Kindergarten)
T-K is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program that serves as a “bridge” between preschool and elementary school. Some children might not make the age cutoff for kindergarten, but are ready to move beyond a preschool environment.
- T-K is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program and serves as a bridge between preschool and elementary school.
- Our T-K uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is both age-appropriate and developmentally aligned. As children build new skills, they move forward at their own pace with:
- Smaller group work
- More individualized attention
- Extra time to practice foundational academic and social skills
- T-K offers a gentler, more supported transition into the expectations of elementary school, helping children feel capable, confident, and ready for full-day kindergarten.
- It’s a great fit for children who:
- Miss the age cutoff for kindergarten but are ready for more than preschool, or
- Meet the kindergarten age requirement but would benefit from an extra year to grow socially and emotionally.
Public Pre-K vs. Pop-Ins Pre-K
- Our Pre-K teaching is aligned with Colorado Pre-K Standards.
- Pre-K in full daycare settings combines early learning with full-day, year-round care. Programs are typically more flexible, supporting working families with extended hours, meals, naps, and consistent supervision. No need to leave work early.
- Offers consistency in learning until they are ready for Kindergarten.
- Learning is often play-based and focused on the whole child, including social, emotional, and physical development, alongside early academics.
- Daycare Pre-K offers greater scheduling flexibility and continuity of care.
- We don’t break for long school holidays, disrupting parents’ work schedules.
We close only on major holidays:
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Black Friday
Christmas Day
Frosty Fun 26th December

Additional 2-Year-Old Option
We also offer a flexible program for 2-year-olds that runs three days a week for one hour a day—perfect for little ones (and parents!) who are just beginning to explore a gentle, structured school experience.
